  • You should be comfortable walking on uneven, rocky terrain. Trails can range from 3 to 6 hours, including breaks. Expect natural inclines and declines, similar to climbing stairs, as you navigate through village roads and forested paths.

    • You value meaningful, human connections.

    • You’re craving stillness, simplicity, and a chance to reset.

    • You’re curious about a slower, more grounded way of life.

  • Enjoy access to treks and lovingly curated experiences you won’t find on the commercial market. The true value of your journey lies not in market-defined luxury, but in the rare privilege of being part of a deeply rooted way of life — one that embraces peace, connection, and community.

Yuksom is a remote village in West Sikkim. While we do our best to ensure a comfortable stay, please know that there is no central heating, and room heaters are available in limited supply. Electricity is generally reliable but may occasionally cut out for a few hours.

If this is what you are seeking and we have not “scared” you off yet, then please join us. We would love to share paradise with you.

Yuksom is my first love and my forever home.

Yuksom has forever changed the way I see the world, which has led to the birth of Feels Like Om, to share the love and wisdom that I have been so generously given by the Yuksom land and community.

This 11-day Feels Like Home journey is the brainchild of me and Elan, my first friend in Yuksom. We designed this journey to offer you a raw, unfiltered experience of Yuksom life, just as the locals live it.

Elan and I in the mountains of West Sikkim

Elan’s family

Elan’s family runs the cozy and homely Ejam Residency, which will become your home in Yuksom. Over the course of eleven days, you will settle into a rhythm shaped by the land and the community, where each day unfolds with gentle intention.

At Ejam Residency, meals are a slow, intentional affair. You will feel the love of Sikkimese home-cooking—a hot bowl of thukpa, freshly milked tea in the morning, or the joy of wrapping momo together. Be nourished by organic produce grown in their garden and enjoy farm-to-table meals every day.

Be surrounded by the calm presence of the mountains

Days here are not packed with checking off as many touristy attractions as we can. Instead, you will step into the everyday life of Yuksom’s people. Joining in their quiet daily rituals and living life alongside them will shift the way you see life.

On Day 11, you will fly back to Singapore.

Over the first 10 days which are in Yuksom, you will:

Ejam-style breakfast spread to start your day

Let the mountains remind you that everything will be okay

Practising the art of stillness

“The mountains will hold space for stillness, the forests will teach you patience, and the community will remind you of the power of connection.”

This is a journey for those who crave presence over plans, depth over checklists, and discovery over certainty. If you arrive with curiosity and an open heart, Yuksom will meet you exactly where you are—and leave you forever changed.

Hear from others who have experienced Sikkim. For some, it was their homecoming; for others, it was their first visit, but definitely not their last.
