Departure Flights

The nearest domestic airport is Bagdogra Airport (IXB), located in the neighbouring state of West Bengal.

From there, Yuksom is approximately 152km (7 hours) by road.

To ensure a smooth journey into the mountains, we recommend two options:

Option 1: Arrive a day earlier and stay at a nearby hotel.
This gives you more options to choose from, with more comfortable layovers and flight timings. The driver can pick you up directly from your hotel.

- Marina’s Motel is about a 5-minute drive from Bagdogra Airport and is a more affordable option.
- Sunhill Portico is 30-45 minutes by car from Bagdogra Airport, costs more but is very clean and comfortable.

Option 2: Book a flight that arrives in Bagdogra Airport before 10:30 a.m. on the first day of your trip.
This allows sufficient time for the drive, inclusive of lunch and tea breaks, so that you can reach the homestay in time for dinner.

Return Flights

For your return flight, please book a flight from Bagdogra Airport that leaves after 5:00 PM to allow enough time to travel from Yuksom.

If you prefer a more relaxed departure, we recommend staying an extra night in Siliguri before your flight the next day.

Minimum layover duration is 4 hours, to account for any flight delays and transfers.

Car Ride

We’re happy to connect you with reliable local drivers who will pick you up directly from Bagdogra Airport or your hotel.

To help reduce your transport cost, you can arrive on the same flight, so you can share the car ride with others.

  • One-way between Bagdogra Airport and Yuksom: Around 7,000 rupees/car

  • Each car can fit six passengers

  • Bulkier luggage can be secured on the roof

  • Payment is made directly to the driver upon arrival
